Jen Gilhoi, event experience strategist and founder of Sparktrack, is fascinated with the art of gathering. She especially loves lingering behind and reliving moments others have long since moved on from. In 2014, she moved on from active addiction and began a sober lifestyle. And in recent years, supported by the community of women writers at ModernWell in Minneapolis, MN, she courageously began exploring memoir to work through past traumas.

As an introvert and moderate empath (discovered upon completion of the quiz in Sensitive is the New Strong), she’s discovered that the written word is her avenue to invite others into inquiry and shatter stigmas around addiction. To further that passion, she’s a Dissonance board member, an organization that promotes mental health and recovery in and through the arts. And because the wellness and sobriety journey is not just about not drinking – it’s about living live to the fullest – she also writes about wellness-related products, services and experiences.

“Critics are the name given to those who write reviews. I’m here to flip that.

Let’s slow down, reflect, honor the gift-givers’ efforts, and celebrate and share what we can learn from them. That’s my kind of review – a celebration, not a critique.” -- Jen Gilhoi

Any good thing I discover to support well-being, I’m going to share it. I’m writing, talking and posting here and on social media about wellness-related products, services and experiences I discover, then wrapping all that up here to celebrate the work and passion of good people with the intention of passing it on.
